How to measure

Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.

Full description

Most festive bows have to be threaded onto a collar you already own, and then work their way loose halfway through the afternoon. This is the collar itself — a 1cm band with the bow built in — so it goes straight on and there is nothing separate to slide round to the back of the neck. The narrow band and the 18 to 28cm size make it a cat and small dog collar; a labrador's neck is roughly twice that.

There are eleven designs and they split neatly into two moods. Four are printed: a Christmas tree with a black button, a snowflake, a Santa Claus and a garland. The other seven are plain bows in red, green, pink, navy blue, blue, white and beige, which is the option to take if you would rather it carried on being worn in January without looking out of season. Polyester holds a printed pattern well and does not fray at a cut edge the way woven ribbon can.
