Feeding the same flavour every day is a habit dogs seem to tolerate better than owners assume, but a 24-pack that mixes it up costs nothing extra and means one delivery covers weeks of variety instead of one note. Butcher's split this box into three recipes rather than one: eight trays of Lamb & Peas, eight of Turkey & Carrots and eight of Beef & Veg, each built on the same chicken base with a different named meat and vegetable added.

It is a grain-free recipe — Butcher's describe it as naturally gluten-free with no grains or bulkers — and the analysis is protein 8%, fat content 5%, crude fibre 0.2%, crude ash 2% and moisture 82%, with an energy value of 88 kcal per 100g. Butcher's feeding guide gives daily amounts by weight: toy dogs up to 5kg get up to 2.5 trays, small dogs (5-10kg) 2.5-4.5 trays and medium dogs (10-20kg) 4.5-6 trays, and if you are mixing it with dry food, 150g of this wet food replaces roughly 35g of dry.

• 24 x 150g trays: 8 Lamb & Peas, 8 Turkey & Carrots, 8 Beef & Veg
• Grain and gluten free
• Protein 8%, fat content 5%, moisture 82%
• Energy 88 kcal per 100g
• Not suitable for puppies under 1 year old
• Mixing guide: 150g wet replaces about 35g dry food

On the age restriction. This recipe is explicitly not suitable for puppies under one year old — it is formulated for adult dogs, so it is not the tray to reach for if you have a puppy in the house alongside an older dog, even though the pack contains three different flavours.

Who it's for: owners of adult dogs from a year old who want variety built into one box rather than buying three separate flavours, especially anyone mixing wet with a dry kibble.
