Most chew toys ask a dog to hold something round with paws built for anything but holding, which is the appeal of a T-bone shape with a flat base to grip.

This chew is made from bamboo fibre combined with nylon fibre, designed to mimic the feel of wood for a more natural chewing experience. Raised nubs across the surface are intended to help reduce oral bacteria and control plaque and tartar as the dog works at it, and the flat T-bone base is shaped so the dog can hold it steady with both front paws.

• Bamboo fibre and nylon fibre construction, designed to mimic wood
• T-bone shape with a flat base for holding between the front paws
• Raised nubs to help reduce oral bacteria and control plaque/tartar
• This size: Large, for dogs up to 40kg
• Chicken flavoured

On durability. Bamboodles do not publish a hardness rating or an expected lifespan for this chew, and a bamboo-nylon blend is still a chew a determined dog can wear down — check it regularly for splintering or sharp edges the way you would any hard chew, and remove it if the surface starts to break up rather than assuming tough means indestructible.

Who it's for: owners of larger dogs (up to 40kg) who want a chew shaped to be held rather than chased across the floor, and who like the idea of a plant-fibre chew over a pure nylon one.
