How to measure

Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck (collar area) to the base of the tail.
Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, behind the front legs.
If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose by back length and allow for the chest.

Full description

Press studs are the small detail that decides whether a coat gets used all winter or not. A jacket that fastens down the front in three quick presses goes onto a fidgety dog in seconds. Anything that has to go over the head turns into a wrestle by the second week and then quietly stays on the hook by the door. This one studs closed, which is the reason it will still be in daily use come February.

The construction is a quilted padded shell over a soft lining. Quilting matters because it holds the padding evenly across the panel rather than letting it migrate down into the bottom seam, which is what turns a cheap coat into a thin coat after three washes. The hood detaches, so the same jacket handles a still, cold morning and a properly windy one without compromise either way.
