Full description
Layering a harness over a coat never quite works. The straps ride up, the fabric bunches underneath, and you end up adjusting both halfway down the street with a lead in your teeth. Building the harness into the coat solves it in one go: a front D-ring sits where it ought to, reflective straps run over the shoulders, and there is only a single thing to get onto the dog before you leave.
Underneath the quilted outer is a fleece lining, which is the combination that suits genuinely cold mornings rather than merely fresh ones, and the whole thing zips on rather than fastening with hook-and-loop that clogs solid with fur by February. Corduroy trims the collar and the pockets, adding a little stiffness where the coat benefits from holding its shape. Sizes run from S to 3XL, across melon red, khaki and mustard green.

A D-ring sewn into a coat is fine for a dog who walks on a loose lead, but it is not a substitute for a proper harness if yours pulls, because the load then goes through the coat's seams and zip instead of a fitted strap system. If your dog leans into the lead, keep the usual harness on underneath. Send us a back length and chest girth and we will size it.
