Getting a harness over a head-shy puppy's ears can turn a two-minute job into a ten-minute wrestle, which is exactly the moment a step-in design earns its keep.
Ancol's Teddy Harness is a step-in harness, so there's no need to put anything over the dog's head — the puppy steps in and it fastens around them instead. It's built with a breathable mesh and a comfort-fit shape, with a reflective strip for visibility on darker walks, and this size fits a 35-42cm girth.
- Step-in design, no over-the-head fitting
- Breathable mesh
- Comfort-fit shape
- Reflective strip
- Fits 35-42cm
- Designed specifically for puppies and small dogs
On sizing. Ancol give a single girth range here, 35-42cm, and haven't supplied a weight guide alongside it, so measure your puppy's girth directly rather than guessing from age or breed — puppies grow fast, and a harness that's tight now may not be for long.
Who it's for: owners of a puppy or small dog that's head-shy or still learning to accept a harness, where avoiding an over-the-head fitting makes the whole process easier.

Why we chose it
Step-in design solves a real, specific problem — the puppies that panic at anything going over their head — rather than being a feature for its own sake. The reflective strip is a sensible addition for anyone walking a puppy in the dark winter months while training is still underway.
