There is a fortnight at the beginning where a puppy has to learn that a collar is simply a thing that is there. That fortnight goes considerably better if the collar can come off in a second when they have had enough of it, and considerably worse if taking it off means undoing the fit you spent three days getting right.
This is a matching collar and lead from Ancol's Small Bite range, their line built around small dogs and puppies. Both pieces are built on a PVC base that Ancol describe as flexible, weather-proof and hardwearing, dotted with diamantes, with a hanging gem on the collar. The collar carries two buckles doing two separate jobs: an adjuster that sets the fit, and a quick-release that opens without touching it. The lead attaches by a metal trigger hook onto a metal D-ring. The collar adjusts from 20-30cm and the lead measures 1m by 10mm. Ancol make the set in black, blue and pink.
