A dog fed on one obvious protein for a while is the simplest way anyone has found to spot a food sensitivity, which is why single-protein diets exist at all — not as a lifestyle choice so much as a diagnostic one that happens to suit dogs who never had a problem in the first place.

AATU build this recipe on a stated ratio rather than a single headline percentage: 2.5kg of raw ingredients goes into every 1kg that comes out of the bag, and salmon between fresh and dried forms makes up 80% of the finished recipe — 64% fresh salmon, 16% dried. The rest is carried by sweet potato, peas, apple and chickpeas, styled by AATU as a blend of 8 vegetables, 8 fruits, 8 herbs and 8 botanicals.

• Salmon and dried salmon make up 80% of the recipe (64% fresh, 16% dried)
• Protein 31%, fat 20%, crude fibre 2.4%, crude ash 9%
• Omega-6 4%, omega-3 3%
• Grain, white potato and gluten free
• Includes glucosamine (178mg/kg), MSM (178mg/kg) and chondroitin (125mg/kg)
• 10KG bag

What the bag doesn't tell you. AATU print no fixed feeding table on the packaging — their official page uses an interactive calculator by age, weight and activity level instead, giving amounts in grams and kilocalories. That's fine online but no help for a quick check at the shelf or a first scoop before you've been to the website.

Who it's for: owners feeding a single-protein diet for a suspected sensitivity, avoiding grain and white potato specifically, and happy to use an online calculator rather than a printed feeding chart.
