Boots and paw protectors are sized by paw WIDTH — the widest part of the paw when your dog is standing and the paw is spread. Measure width first; any weights are only a rough guide.
How to measure
- Stand your dog on a piece of paper so the paw spreads to its natural width.
- Mark the widest points on each side and measure straight across, in cm.
- Measure a front paw (usually a touch bigger than the back). If between sizes, size up.

Full description
Hot pavement does more damage to dogs than most owners realise, and the injury is rarely obvious until the pads have already blistered. A mesh boot is the summer answer rather than the winter one: it puts a sole between paw and ground while still letting air through, so paws are protected without cooking inside a sealed rubber shoe on a July afternoon.
Each boot closes with two velcro straps rather than one, and the second strap is what keeps them on a running dog. A single strap pivots and works loose; two hold the boot square to the leg. The straps carry reflective trim, so a dog moving ahead of you on a dark lane is picked out low to the ground by headlights. The soles are textured and skid-proof, and the uppers are air mesh throughout.
