There's no single Harringtons feeding amount that applies to every dog — it depends on the specific recipe, your dog's weight, age and activity level, all of which the feeding table printed on the bag already accounts for. The most useful thing this page can do is explain how to actually read that table correctly.
How to read the feeding guide on the bag
Every Harringtons bag carries a feeding table on the back or side, usually broken down by your dog's weight in kilograms, giving a daily amount in grams. Find your dog's weight band first, then use that figure as your starting point rather than a fixed rule.
The guide amount is calculated for an averagely active adult dog eating that food as their sole diet. A dog who is notably more or less active than average, or who gets treats and extras through the day, may need the amount adjusted up or down from the printed figure to keep them at a healthy weight.
Weighing the food properly makes the real difference
A kitchen scale, rather than a scoop or a cup judged by eye, is the single biggest factor in actually hitting the amount the feeding guide recommends. Kibble varies in density between recipes, so a scoop that is correct for one Harringtons recipe can be noticeably over or under for another.
Splitting the daily total across two meals rather than one is worth doing for most adult dogs, and is essential for puppies, who are usually fed three or four smaller meals a day on the puppy-specific guide printed on puppy bags.

- How do I know how much Harringtons to feed my puppy?
- Puppy bags carry a separate feeding table, usually based on your puppy's current weight and expected adult size, fed across three or four smaller meals a day rather than one or two. Follow the pack's specific guide and check in with your vet at routine visits to make sure your puppy is growing at a healthy rate.
- Should I weigh dry food or use a scoop?
