Fleasolve spot-on flea treatment

Fleasolve is a spot-on flea treatment applied to the skin, available in versions for dogs and for cats, sized by weight. We can't give you an application amount or interval here — that's set out precisely on the pack and product leaflet for your pet's exact size, and it's not something to estimate from a website.

What a spot-on treatment like this does

A spot-on flea treatment is applied to a small area of skin, usually between the shoulder blades, where it spreads across the skin's natural oils rather than being absorbed like a tablet. It's designed to kill fleas already on your pet and help prevent a new infestation taking hold over the following weeks.

The exact active ingredient and strength varies by the specific Fleasolve product and by pack size for dog versus cat versions, and it's stated on the box and the leaflet inside it rather than being one single formula across the whole range. Always check you have the version sized correctly for your pet's species and weight before applying anything.

Using it safely

Follow the pack instructions and the weight band printed on the box exactly — a treatment formulated for dogs must never be applied to a cat, since some spot-on ingredients that are safe for dogs are genuinely dangerous to cats. If you're at all unsure which pack matches your pet, ask your vet or check the product leaflet before applying it.

If your pet shows any unusual reaction after treatment — skin irritation, excessive grooming of the area, or signs of being unwell — contact your vet promptly rather than waiting to see if it settles. Fleas can also indicate a wider household issue, so treating bedding and carpets alongside your pet is often part of getting on top of an infestation.

Common questions

Is Fleasolve safe for cats?
There are Fleasolve products made specifically for cats, but a dog-formulated pack must never be used on a cat, since some ingredients safe for dogs can be seriously harmful to cats. Always check the pack is the correct species and weight version before applying it.
How often do I need to apply Fleasolve?
This is set out on the specific product's pack and leaflet rather than being the same across every version, since it depends on the exact formulation and your pet's weight. Follow that guidance exactly, and ask your vet if the leaflet doesn't answer your question.
What if my pet has a reaction to a spot-on treatment?
Contact your vet promptly if you notice skin irritation, unusual grooming of the treated area, or any sign your pet seems unwell after treatment. Reactions are uncommon but worth acting on quickly rather than waiting to see if they pass.
Does Giddy Pets stock every Fleasolve pack size?
We carry a selection of the range rather than every pack size and species version made. What's shown in the grid above is what we currently have listed, so check it carries the correct weight band for your pet before ordering.
