Why choose plastic over a fabric bed

Check the edges and corners for smooth finishing, particularly for a puppy or a dog that chews, since a rough or cracked edge on a moulded bed can be sharp in a way padded fabric never is.
Cleaning and upkeep
A plastic bed's main practical benefit is how quickly it cleans — most just need a wipe-down or a hose-off and a dry before the dog is back on it. Any liner or cushion inside should still be washed on its own schedule, since the plastic shell itself does not need the same laundering a fabric bed does.
Check occasionally for cracks, especially in a bed that lives outside through changing weather, since UV exposure and cold can make some plastics brittle over time. A cracked bed with sharp edges should be replaced rather than patched.
