Full description

Most treats in a range built around being grain free make a point of it, so the one recipe that quietly includes a grain is worth reading the composition on rather than assuming it matches the rest.

This one is Chicken 82%, pumpkin 8%, starch 6%, oats 3% and glycerin 1% — lower in fat than a plain meat treat, thanks to the pumpkin and oats added alongside the chicken.

On the oats. Unlike some of the other Woolf treats in this style, this one contains oats — it isn't a grain-free recipe, so it's not the one to reach for if you're specifically avoiding grain for your dog.

Who it's for: owners not specifically avoiding grain, wanting a lower-fat chicken treat with pumpkin and oats added in.

Why we chose it

At 4% fat, this is a leaner treat than a pure meat chew, thanks to the pumpkin and oats making up part of the recipe. It's a straightforward option for a dog who does fine with a small amount of grain and could do with a treat that isn't mostly fat.
