A bag named for one ingredient is telling you what the marketing team wanted on the front, not necessarily what makes up most of what's inside, and this recipe is worth reading past the name for exactly that reason.

Winalot's Adult Dog Salmon is built from cereals, meat and animal derivatives and animal fats, with fish and fish derivatives — specifically 4% salmon — alongside derivatives of vegetable origin, of which 2% is dried beet pulp. Winalot say they've been making dog food since 1927.

• Salmon 4% of the total recipe
• Dried beet pulp 2%
• Protein 19%, crude ash 7%, crude fibre 3%
• Feeding guide based on activity level and body weight
• 2KG bag

On the rest of the bag. Salmon is 4% of this bag, and the cereals and meat and animal derivatives ahead of it in the ingredient list aren't broken down into individual percentages, so we can't tell you exactly how the rest of the recipe splits.

Who it's for: owners feeding a complete dry food on a budget who are comfortable that salmon here is a named flavour component rather than the bulk ingredient.
