Some dogs and cats just run hotter than others — the same thunderstorm that one sleeps through sends another pacing — and not every one of them needs a vet visit to take the edge off.

VETIQ Serene is a liquid supplement blending amino acids, vitamins and minerals, given daily rather than as a one-off dose before a stressful event. VETIQ state it starts working within 6-8 hours, with the fuller effect building over 24-36 hours, and that it calms without drowsiness or sedation.

• 100ml bottle
• Blend of amino acids, vitamins and minerals
• Given daily, not just before a known stressful event
• VETIQ state effect starts within 6-8 hours
• Fuller effect built up over 24-36 hours
• For dogs and cats

What's not on the card. VETIQ haven't given us a millilitre dose or a per-kg guide on the information passed to us, so follow the dosing chart printed on the bottle rather than guessing, and speak to a vet if the anxiety looks severe or sudden rather than ongoing.

Who it's for: owners of a generally anxious or easily-stressed dog or cat wanting a daily supplement, and anyone with a dog in training, showing or obedience work where VETIQ say it's also used.
