Measure the chest girth right behind the front legs and buy to that number rather than by breed name, because two dogs of identical weight are frequently two sizes apart.

How to measure
- A - Neck girth: measure around the base of the neck where the harness sits.
- B - Chest girth: measure around the deepest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- C and D - Belly length and back length are the harness panel measurements; compare these with your dog's build.

Full description
The handle across the back is what people actually buy this for. It gives you a way to take direct hold of your dog for a few seconds, lifting them over a stile, holding them steady at a kerb, or getting a grip when another dog comes round a corner too fast, without hauling on the lead and their neck to do it. Everything else on this harness is secondary to that one detail.
It is a padded vest-style build that spreads pressure across the chest and shoulders instead of loading a single narrow strap, with quick-release buckles so it comes off in one movement, and panels of MOLLE webbing along each side for patches, a bag holder or a small pouch. Reflective trim runs through the camo pattern for early starts and dark evenings. The straps adjust at both the neck and the girth.
