Full description

A dog's gut bacteria can be knocked off balance by something as ordinary as a change of food or a course of antibiotics, and putting it right again usually needs more than one type of good bacteria. Supernature's Super Gut uses four separate strains rather than a single generic probiotic.

It combines yeast products (mannan-oligosaccharides, beta-glucans and postbiotics from Saccharomyces cerevisiae) with FOS and chicory root as prebiotics, alongside two named tyndallised bacteria strains and a zootechnical Bacillus Subtilis addition. Supernature's scoop guide runs from 1 scoop for a small dog up to 4 scoops for an extra large dog.

Yeast products (MOS, beta-glucans, postbiotics)
FOS and chicory root (inulin) as prebiotics
Crude protein 13%, crude fats 7%, crude fibre 16%
Scoop guide: 1-4 scoops depending on dog size
150G tub

On the strain counts. The bacterial strain figures on this product — Bacillus Subtilis, two Lactobacillus strains — are quoted per pack rather than per individual scoop, so don't assume a single daily scoop delivers the full pack figure; it's spread across however many scoops the tub contains.

Who it's for: owners of a dog recovering from a change of diet, a course of medication, or an upset stomach, who want a multi-strain supplement rather than a single generic probiotic.

Why we chose it

Four strains rather than one is a genuinely different approach to a probiotic. It's the reason we'd reach for this over a basic single-strain sachet when a dog's gut needs real support.
