Full description

Chicken tends to be the safer starting flavour for a dog trying a licking mat for the first time, simply because fewer dogs turn their nose up at it than at some of the richer options.

This is the chicken version of Supernature's Lickeez spread mix, made up with water rather than served as a powder — one part powder to four parts water, adjusted for a thicker paste or thinner gravy. It's built on golden linseed, coconut, freeze dried chicken at 13%, brewers yeast, chicken bone broth, pumpkin, blueberry, cranberry and turmeric.

100G tub of powder
Freeze dried chicken 13%
Mix 1 part powder to 4 parts water
Makes enough for around 5-7 standard LickiMat mats
Crude protein 25%, crude fat 14%, crude fibre 7.5%

One thing worth knowing. This chicken version carries a different crude protein figure to Supernature's beef Lickeez mix, so if you're choosing between the two on nutrition rather than flavour preference, check both labels rather than assuming they match.

Who it's for: owners introducing a dog to licking-mat enrichment for the first time, or with a dog that prefers chicken to richer flavours.

Why we chose it

Chicken is the flavour most dogs will take to without hesitation, which makes it the sensible starting point if you haven't used a licking mat before. Freeze dried chicken at 13% means it's a genuine ingredient rather than a chicken-flavoured filler.
