Prey animals sleep better with a roof over them and a way out at both ends. A hanging fabric tunnel gives a hamster or a gerbil exactly that arrangement, and lifts it clear of the cage floor where the bedding is dampest and the traffic heaviest. It is why they are usually found curled up inside one within a day of it going into the cage.

The outer is a printed fabric and the lining is soft plush fleece, warm enough that a small pet will burrow in and stay rather than simply passing through on the way somewhere else. It hangs from the cage bars on clips, so you can set the height to suit the climb and take the whole thing down for a wash without dismantling anything else. Two sizes are made.

On which pets this actually suits. This is a hamster, gerbil, mouse or sugar glider item and we would rather say so than take your money. Fabric hideouts have a second limit too: a pet who chews fabric can swallow threads or catch a nail in a loose one, so check it weekly and remove it at the first fraying.
