A good bed lets your pet stretch out and curl up. Measure your pet nose-to-tail while they’re lying down, then add room to move.
How to measure
- Measure your pet from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
- Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
- For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.
| Size | Typical internal length | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| S | up to ~50 cm | Cats, toy & small breeds |
| M | ~50–70 cm | Small–medium dogs |
| L | ~70–90 cm | Medium–large dogs |
| XL | 90 cm + | Large & giant breeds |

Full description
Cats do two things immediately after waking: they stretch, and they scratch. Put the bed and the scratching post in different rooms and the stretch usually lands on the nearest carpet or sofa arm instead. Building both into one object catches the cat at exactly the moment the urge arrives, which is a far more reliable way of protecting furniture than moving a post around the house hoping it gets used.
The bed itself is a semi-enclosed plush cave on a flat base, open enough that a cat can see out while still feeling covered, which suits the many cats who want shelter but not a tunnel. Rising from the same base are two sisal-wrapped posts, so the structure is weighted by the bed sitting on it rather than needing a separate slab underneath. The cover is washable, and two sizes and two styles are listed.
- Semi-enclosed plush cave bed
- Two sisal-wrapped scratching posts on the same base
- Flat, stable base
- Washable cover
- Two sizes, M and L
- Two style options listed
On the posts. Their height is not published, and height is the only thing that matters in a scratching post: a cat needs to reach up and stretch the spine out fully, not scratch at chest level. Unless it is generous, treat these as a convenient extra rather than the household's main scratching post.
What the options mean. Sizes run from M to L — £114.99 for the smallest, £144.99 for the largest.
Who it's for: Cats who like to sleep half-hidden rather than fully buried, in flats where one piece has to do the work of a bed and a post together.

On the posts
Their height is not published, and height is the only thing that matters in a scratching post: a cat needs to reach up and stretch the spine out fully, not scratch at chest level. Unless it is generous, treat these as a convenient extra rather than the household's main scratching post.
Why we chose it
Cats stretch and scratch the moment they wake, and if the post is in another room that stretch lands on the sofa arm. This catches them at the exact moment the urge arrives. A convenient extra, not the household's main post.
