Full description

A rawhide-free bone-shaped chew has to do two jobs at once - hold its shape long enough to be interesting, and break down safely rather than the way rawhide can. This range does it with a vegetable outer layer wrapped around real chicken, sized differently for smaller and medium dogs.

The recipe is chicken breast at 29%, with wheat flour, maize starch, pea powder and sweet potato powder, plus a small amount of chicken liver. It is extra low in fat and easy to digest, with two chews to a pack.

Chicken breast 29%
Protein 12.5%, fibre 1.0%, ash 7.0%
Rawhide-free, vitamin and mineral enriched
Extra low in fat

On sizing. This range comes in more than one size - mini and medium - so it is worth checking which is right for a particular dog's size before buying, rather than assuming one bone fits every dog. The chewing action is described as having a natural abrasive effect that helps clean teeth.

Who it's for: dogs moving away from rawhide chews who want something low in fat and sized appropriately for their build.

Why we chose it

A rawhide-free chew with real chicken breast in it is a straightforward upgrade for owners avoiding traditional rawhide, and being available in more than one size means we can match it to a small dog rather than force one size on everyone. The chewing action doing double duty for dental health is a genuine bonus rather than marketing.
