Full description

Some dogs will happily hoover up whatever lands in the bowl, and others will work through it piece by piece, leaving behind whatever texture they like least — worth knowing before buying a muesli-style food rather than a uniform kibble, because the two behave very differently in a fussy dog's bowl.

Skinner's Ruff & Ready is built as a mix rather than a single kibble shape: protein pellets containing meat and bone meal, minerals and bran; extruded wholewheat biscuits with added vitamins; a terrier meal; cooked flaked corn with a cereal coating; dried meat greaves; extruded meat pellets; cooked flaked peas; cooked wheatflakes; and soya bean oil. It's coated with wheat glucose syrup, which Skinner's say adds natural flavour and a distinctive texture across the mix.
