Material: Rope and rubber
Brand: Rosewood Pet Products
Material: Rope and rubber

Full description

A bored dog left with nothing to chew usually finds something anyway — a shoe, a skirting board, a remote control — so a chew toy is as much about giving the boredom somewhere safe to go as it is about entertainment.

The Battersea Rope & TPR Tri combines rope and rubber (TPR) textures in one toy, meant for tug and fetch as well as solo chewing. Rosewood describe the multi-textured surface as helping promote healthy teeth and gums while a dog chews, alongside reducing boredom and destructive behaviour.

On size. No dimensions or weight are given for this toy — for a very large or determined chewer, there's nothing on this card to confirm whether it's substantial enough to hold up.

Who it's for: dogs that chew when bored, and owners wanting one toy that covers tug, fetch and solo chewing rather than three separate ones.

Why we chose it

Combining rope and rubber in one toy means it survives both a tug game and being left to chew alone, which a rope-only toy doesn't always do. At this price it's an easy thing to have a spare of, too.
