Full description
A collar is the one piece of kit a dog wears every waking hour, so the small things matter far more than the styling does. This one is padded suede rather than bare webbing, which means the edge does not saw at the neck over a long walk, and the brass buckle releases in a single movement when you want it off. It looks like an old-fashioned collar and it behaves like one.
The suede is backed with padding so the strap keeps its shape instead of curling into a cord, and the brass buckle is paired with a matching D-ring that carries both the lead and an ID tag. That D-ring placement is worth noticing. A tag hung off the buckle itself works loose over months of jingling, whereas a dedicated ring keeps the pull on the stitched section of the strap where the collar is strongest.
