The damage a dog does to a back seat is rarely one dramatic incident. It is a season of wet fur, grit ground into the weave by claws, and the slow smell that follows, and by the time you notice properly, valeting costs more than a cover ever would have. A hammock design deals with the whole area rather than the seat pads alone, because a wet dog does not confine itself to where you would like it to sit.

It slings between the front and rear headrests so the fabric spans the footwell as well as the bench, which stops a dog sliding down into the gap when you brake, and side flaps carry the protection up over the door cards where muddy paws actually land. The outer is quilted and water-resistant, wiping clean rather than absorbing, and a non-slip backing keeps it from creeping across the upholstery underneath.
