Specifications

Brand: Vetzyme

Full description

Some dogs run at a higher baseline than others, and it's the ones that struggle to settle — not just the ones with an obvious trigger — that owners often find hardest to help.

Vetzyme's Stay Calm is a daily feed supplement built around chamomile and ginger oils, which Vetzyme cite research as showing has calming, relaxant and soothing properties. It's given as a feed additive rather than a one-off dose before a specific event.

150ml bottle
Chamomile and ginger oil blend
Given as a daily feed supplement
Aimed at excitable or aggressive dogs

What's not on the card. Vetzyme haven't given us a dose in millilitres per kilogram of bodyweight, or a percentage breakdown of the two oils, so follow the instructions on the bottle rather than guessing — and a dog showing aggression is a training and behavioural matter for a vet or behaviourist, not something this oil is meant to resolve alone.

Who it's for: owners of a dog that runs excitable or reactive day-to-day, looking for a daily supplement to use alongside training rather than instead of it.

Calming anxiety

Vetzyme Stay Calm Oil

Why we chose it

Chamomile and ginger is a specific, named pairing rather than a vague 'calming blend', which at least tells you what you're giving. It's a feed additive, so it fits into a routine you're already running rather than adding a separate step to the day.
