Physical exercise tires a dog's legs. Problem-solving tires their head, and it is the second one that stops a bored dog from dismantling the kitchen while you are on a call. A frame you can rebuild is a good way to keep that going, because the moment a puzzle becomes familiar it stops being a puzzle at all. This is a kit of pipes and connectors rather than a fixed obstacle, so the layout changes as the dog gets better.

The pipes snap into the connectors without tools and come apart the same way, which means the frame can be a hanging-toy rig one week and a weave or a low jump the next. Built up, it is stable enough to work around. Taken down, it is a bundle of tubes in a cupboard. It is light enough to carry into the garden and back in again, and it is offered as the framework alone or as the framework with a toy.

• Snap-together PVC pipes and connectors
• No tools needed to build or dismantle
• Reconfigurable into different layouts
• Brightly coloured in emerald green
• Choice of framework, or framework with a toy
• Packs down for storage between sessions

On what this is not. It is a home enrichment frame, not competition agility equipment, and PVC is light enough that a large dog clipping it will move it. Keep any jumps low, work on a non-slip surface, and supervise every session, because a dog left alone with a frame will chew the connectors off it.

Who it's for: Clever, restless dogs who need a job, and owners with a garden or a spare corner of a room.
