On the fat and calcium figures. Fat comes to 51% and calcium to 4% — both high by weight, which is normal for a freeze-dried treat with almost all the moisture removed, but it means this isn't one to feed generously if you're watching either figure for your dog. Feeding guidance here is by treats per day rather than weight, from 1-2 for a toy dog up to 6-8 for a giant breed.

Who it's for: owners of a puppy from 12 weeks or an adult dog wanting a small, concentrated lamb treat, given in modest numbers per the weight-based guide.

Why we chose it

At 51% fat, this is one to count as a proper treat rather than something to hand out freely, and the weight-based guide, from 1-2 a day for a toy dog up to 6-8 for a giant breed, reflects that. It's suitable from 12 weeks, so it covers a puppy through to adulthood.
