A training treat that's gone before the next command is barely doing its job, and the appeal of a small, soft treat like this one is exactly that it's quick enough to keep a training session moving without a long chewing pause.

Pointer's Mini Pork Hot Dogs are 55% pork, with dried potato, vegetable oil glycerine, salt, dried fermented whey and dried apple — the apple is just 0.6% of the recipe but Pointer say that's equivalent to 4% fresh apple, alongside a small amount of thyme (0.1%). The analysis is 14% protein, 14% fat, 2% fibre and 19% moisture. It's grain free, sold as a 90g pack.

On the recipe. Pork makes up just over half the recipe at 55%; the rest is potato, oil, salt, whey and a small amount of apple and thyme, so this reads as a soft training treat built around one main protein rather than a meat-dense chew. Pointer give no calorie figure on this card, so factor the fat content in if you're using a lot of them in a session.

Who it's for: owners doing frequent training who want a small, soft, quick-to-eat pork treat rather than something that needs proper chewing.
