Specifications

Brand: PetGear

Full description

Carrying a separate bottle and bowl for a dog on a walk means one of them usually gets left behind, which is the ordinary problem this kind of combined design is built to solve.

PetGear's Travel Water Bottle hinges the bottle and a plastic bowl together into one lightweight, compact unit measuring 29cm. To use it, you pop open the bottle lid and gently squeeze water into the bowl beneath; once your dog has finished, the top closes and the bottle folds back into the bowl for storage.

29cm size
Bottle and bowl combined in one unit
Folds flat for storage
Squeeze-to-dispense bottle design
Leak-proof, designed to prevent spillages

What isn't confirmed. No water capacity in millilitres is given, so we can't tell you how many fills or walks one bottle covers — judge that against your own dog's drinking habits rather than a figure we don't have.

Who it's for: dog owners who want one compact item for water on walks or car journeys, rather than carrying a separate bottle and bowl that don't fold away together.

Why we chose it

A bottle and bowl that fold into each other is a genuinely useful bit of design rather than a gimmick, because it's the only one of the two you actually have to remember to bring. Being leak-proof matters more than it sounds once you've had one soak the bottom of a bag.
