How to measure

Measure your pet from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.

The sofa is usually where the argument happens. Letting a dog or a cat up there means fur worked into the weave, claw pulls on the arms and a damp patch after a wet walk, while keeping them off means a pet staring at you from the floor all evening. A washable cover cut to the shape of the cushion settles it: the pet gets the seat, and the thing taking the wear is the piece you can put in the machine.

The pile is a corded velvet plush in a chequerboard weave, soft enough to lie on and thick enough to hold fur rather than let it migrate through to the upholstery underneath. Sizes run from square pads up to long sofa-length cushions, so you can cover a single seat, the base of a two-seater or the floor of a crate. It goes in the washing machine, which is the only maintenance that ever really matters with a pet mat.
