Harnesses are sized by the chest (girth) — the measurement around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.
How to measure
- Stand your pet up squarely.
- Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- Keep two fingers under the tape so the fit is snug, not tight.
- If your pet is between sizes, choose the larger one.

Full description
A dog who pulls on a collar puts all that force through the throat, and on a strong breed that is a genuine risk to the windpipe rather than just a training inconvenience. A harness moves the load onto the chest and shoulders, where the body is built to take it. This one adds the thing owners of big dogs actually want on top of that, which is a handle you can get hold of quickly.
Woven nylon webbing carries the load, with adjustment points at the chest and the neck so the fit can be set properly rather than approximately. The padded handle across the back gives immediate close control past a reactive dog or at a kerb, MOLLE webbing panels along both sides take patches or a small pouch, and quick-release buckles get it off again without a fight at the end of a wet walk.
