Nylabone Chicken

Dogs need very little encouragement to chew, so the more useful question is what they're chewing on, and whether it's doing anything for their teeth while they do it.

This is Nylabone's Chicken-flavoured Dura Chew, made from pure virgin nylon that's annealed after moulding so the flavour is mixed into the material itself rather than just coated on the outside. As the dog chews, raised bristle-like projections on the surface massage the teeth and gums, which Nylabone say helps prevent plaque from forming. It's available in more than one size, and the medium size is intended for dogs up to 35lbs, about 15kg - Nylabone's own advice is to choose the largest size your dog can comfortably hold, for the most dental benefit.

On sizing. Nylabone's own guidance is to pick the largest size your dog can comfortably hold in their mouth, since that's what gets the most dental benefit - going too small for your dog's mouth mostly wastes the point of the raised texture.
