Raw feeding suits plenty of dogs, but not every kitchen has the freezer space or the routine for defrosting raw meat every day, and a gently steamed tray is built to close that gap: the same idea as raw, minus the freezer.

Nutriment's Gently Steamed Beef is 68% beef, made up of beef tripe (11%), beef heart (7%), beef liver (4%) and beef kidney (4%), alongside pumpkin (1%), dried broccoli (0.5%, equivalent to 4%), dried apple (0.5%, equivalent to 3%), minerals, salmon oil and chicory (0.01%). It's fortified with vitamin A (2,250 IU), vitamin D3 (328 IU) and vitamin E (26mg), plus trace elements including zinc (24mg). It's sold in a 395G tray, ready to store outside the freezer, with protein at 9%, fat 7%, crude fibre 0.5%, crude ash 2.5% and moisture 76%. The feeding table gives daily amounts by dog size: up to 3/4 tray for extra small dogs (up to 5kg), rising through small, medium and large bands to larger amounts for bigger dogs.
