Duck sits slightly apart from the beef, lamb and chicken most dog foods are built around, which makes it a useful option to rotate in for a dog that's been on the same one or two proteins for a long time, rather than a flavour chosen for novelty alone.

Nutriment's Gently Steamed Duck is 68% duck, made up of duck heart (7%) and duck liver (7%), alongside spinach (1%), minerals, dried carrot (0.6%, equivalent to 7%), salmon oil and chicory (0.01%). It's fortified with vitamin A (2,250 IU), vitamin D3 (328 IU) and vitamin E (26mg), plus trace elements including zinc. It's sold in a 395G tray, stored without a freezer, with protein at 9%, fat 8%, crude fibre 0.5%, crude ash 2.5% and moisture 76%. As with the other recipes in the range, there's a feeding table by dog size, from extra small dogs up to larger breeds.
