Full description
A dog left with nothing to do for an afternoon will usually find something to do anyway, and it's rarely something an owner would have chosen for them.
The Rumble is a Level 1 treat puzzle from Nina Ottosson, invented in Sweden, combining two toys in one — a treat ball and a maze ball — so a dog has two different ways to work for its reward rather than one repetitive action.
- Level 1 difficulty
- Two toys in one: a treat ball and a maze ball
- Designed by Nina Ottosson, invented in Sweden
- Marketed as keeping dogs busy and mentally stimulated
One thing to flag. There's no dimension, or a maximum treat size, given for this puzzle on our card, so if you're buying for a particularly large or a very small dog, it's worth checking Nina Ottosson's own size guidance before assuming it fits your treats or your dog's mouth.
Who it's for: owners of a dog new to puzzle feeding, or one that finishes food too fast and needs the eating slowed down and the mind occupied at the same time.

Common questions

Is it meant to be left with the dog unsupervised?
We don't have specific guidance on that from Nina Ottosson on this card, so we'd treat it as a supervised activity toy rather than one to leave down unattended.

Why we chose it
Starting at Level 1 makes this the sensible first puzzle for a dog that's never worked for its food before, rather than dropping them straight into something frustrating. Two toys built into one also means less to buy and less to lose.
