Full description

A dog food that's 92% a single named meat is unusually direct as recipes go, most of which spread that percentage across several proteins and fillers before you get near the number on the front.

This is a wet pate-style food made with 92% chicken, plus a nutrient blend and water making up the remaining 8%. It comes in a recloseable carton rather than a tin or pouch, and is firm enough to be mashed, sliced, or used to fill feeding toys and lick mats.

Recloseable carton for fridge storage after opening

On the format: one of the fields on this listing tags the food as 'dry', but everything else about it - the wet-food category, the recloseable carton and the description of it as a mashable, sliceable pate - makes clear this is a wet food, not a dry one; we've written this page on that basis rather than the mislabelled field.

Who it's for: owners of adult dogs over 12 months who want a high-meat, single-protein-led wet food, including those managing sensitivities where a simpler ingredient list helps.

Why we chose it

92% named chicken is a genuinely high figure for a wet food at this price point, and the recloseable carton is a practical detail most tins and pouches don't offer once opened. It's a straightforward recipe rather than one hiding behind a long ingredient list.
