Mikki Ball Pin Slicker

A dog with sensitive skin doesn't need a softer brush so much as a brush that spreads pressure out, which is what an air-cushioned pin bed is actually for rather than the pins themselves being gentler.

This slicker uses ball-tipped pins on a rubber pin bed, with an air cushion built in to absorb brushing pressure, aimed at medium and long-coated pets with sensitive skin. It removes dead hair, knots, tangles, matts and debris, and Mikki's method is to brush in sections, working through the legs, belly, tail, ears and head. This is the Large size; it's also sold in small.

Still not for every coat. Like Mikki's other slickers, this isn't suitable for corded coats such as a Puli's or Komondor's — the ball-tipped pins are gentler than a standard slicker, but a cord structure needs a completely different tool regardless of pin softness.
