A bowl that slides across the kitchen floor every time a dog eats from it is more annoying than the design fault sounds, and the fix is almost always weight rather than a non-slip base gimmick.

Mason Cash make this bowl from stoneware, a material chosen for being both durable and, thanks to its thickness and weight, difficult for a dog to tip or push around while eating. It's 13cm across in a sage colourway, finished with the brand's Polka Dot design — a high-quality glaze with wax-resist dots that give it visible texture rather than a flat print.

• 13cm diameter
• Stoneware construction
• Wax-resist polka dot glaze finish
• Sage colourway
• Durable and difficult to tip over

What's missing. No capacity in millilitres and no dishwasher or microwave guidance is given, so if either matters to you, treat this as an appearance-and-weight bowl first and check for yourself before relying on it for either.

Who it's for: owners who want a heavier, more decorative bowl than the standard plastic or steel option, for a dog that pushes lighter bowls around the floor while eating.
