Full description

A fish recipe can still contain more poultry than either fish species. This pie makes that easy to spot: turkey is twice each individual fish percentage.

The freshly prepared portion totals 60%, comprising turkey 30%, herring 15% and salmon 15%. Potatoes are 4%, with peas, carrots, spinach, minerals, hemp oil and botanicals also listed. Both the smaller tray and 400G tin are complete wet food described as grain free. They share 10.3% protein, 2% ash, 0.4% fibre, 79% moisture and 104 kcal/100g. Only the 400G panel supplies crude fat, at 6.6%, so that figure is not applied to the smaller tray.

smaller tray or 400G tin
Complete wet dog food
Turkey 30%
Herring 15% and salmon 15%
Potatoes 4%
Energy 104 kcal/100g

Turkey is the largest animal share. Despite the fish-pie name, this is not fish-only food. The smaller tray also lacks the 6.6% fat figure shown for the 400G tin, so check the chosen pack when fat content affects the decision.

Who it's for: dogs whose owners want complete mixed turkey-and-fish wet food and understand that poultry leads the animal ingredients.

Why we chose it

The 30% turkey, 15% herring and 15% salmon split is exactly why this family needs a careful page. I chose it for the mixed recipe while making sure the playful fish name never hides the leading poultry share.
