Full description

A colourful recipe name is useful only when the label still tells owners what fills the tin. Carnival Chicken does: fresh chicken leads, while the fruit and vegetables have their own smaller percentages.

Fresh chicken is 60%, sweet potato 4%, mango 2%, coconut 1% and turmeric 0.1%. Quinoa, cucumber, banana, minerals and a long botanical-herb blend are also listed. The 400G recipe is complete wet dog food and is described as grain free. Its analytical panel gives 10.2% protein, 5.1% fat, 2.5% ash, 0.5% fibre and 80% moisture, with energy at 90 kcal/100g. No daily feeding table is supplied in the available details.

400G tin
Complete wet dog food
Fresh chicken 60%
Sweet potato 4% and mango 2%
Moisture 80%
Energy 90 kcal/100g

The fruit is a supporting part of the recipe. Mango is 2%, coconut 1%, and banana has no declared percentage, so this should be read first as chicken food rather than a fruit-heavy meal. Use the current tin for dog-specific feeding amounts.

Who it's for: dogs whose owners want complete chicken-led wet food with sweet potato, quinoa and several fruit ingredients in one 400G tin.

Lily's Kitchen Carnival Chicken — 6 x 400g Tins

Why we chose it

The 60% fresh chicken figure keeps this playful recipe grounded in something useful. I chose it because the smaller sweet-potato, mango, coconut and turmeric percentages make the carnival name easy to translate into an actual meal.
