A two-meat pouch and a grain-free one are usually sold as separate decisions, which makes this recipe useful for an owner who wants both without giving up variety for the sake of avoiding grain.

Chicken makes up 42% of the meaty chunk here and lamb 31%, alongside pea starch and dried potatoes rather than rice. It is a complete grain-free food for adult dogs, and James Wellbeloved's stated approach across the range is to exclude beef, pork, soya, eggs, dairy and wheat.

• Complete grain-free wet food for adult dogs, chicken and lamb named as shares of the chunk
• Chicken 42% and lamb 31% of the meaty chunk, which is typically 42% of the pouch
• Protein 5.5%, fat 4.0%, crude ash 1.5%, crude fibre 0.80%
• No rice — uses pea starch and dried potatoes instead
• Excludes beef, pork, soya, eggs, dairy and wheat
• 90G pouches

On the chunk, precisely. James Wellbeloved state the meaty chunk here is typically 42% of the pouch, and chicken makes up 42% of that chunk, with lamb at 31% — two different figures that happen to share the same number, which is easy to misread as the pouch itself being 42% chicken. It isn't; the two 42%s describe different things.

Who it's for: adult dogs on a grain-free diet who haven't shown a sensitivity to a specific meat, where a two-meat pouch offers more variety than a single-protein one.
