A small dog eating from a pouch built for any adult dog is still getting the same recipe regardless of its size, which is where a small-breed-specific pouch earns its place — not through the meat content so much as through what else has been added for a smaller digestive system.

Turkey makes up 72% of the meaty chunk here, alongside a mix of white and brown rice, carrots and peas. It also carries mannan oligosaccharide, a prebiotic ingredient not present in James Wellbeloved's standard adult pouches in this range. It is a complete food for adult small-breed dogs, excluding beef, pork, soya, eggs, dairy and wheat.

• Complete wet food for adult small-breed dogs, turkey named as 72% of the meaty chunk
• Contains mannan oligosaccharide (0.10%), a prebiotic ingredient
• Protein 5.3%, fat 4.5%, crude ash 1.4%, crude fibre 0.80%
• Omega-6 at 1.0%
• Contains rice — not a grain-free recipe
• 90G pouches

On the prebiotic addition. Mannan oligosaccharide at 0.10% is a genuinely distinct ingredient in this pouch compared with James Wellbeloved's standard adult wet range — it's included here specifically, not something we found across the whole range of pouches on this card. It's a small addition rather than a headline feature, so don't expect it to be the reason a dog's digestion changes overnight.

Who it's for: owners of an adult small-breed dog who want a turkey-based wet pouch with a small-breed-specific formulation, rather than a standard adult pouch in a smaller portion.
