Full description
Bathing a dog isn't always the right answer between full grooms, and a dry-cleaning product does a different job entirely — lifting dirt and adding shine without wetting the coat down.
Hatchwells' White Chalk Block is described as a natural product for dry-cleaning, said to bring up a good shine on the coat, and it's aimed at animals that either don't need a full bath yet or don't tolerate being bathed well. Hatchwells note it also helps groomers during hand-stripping, and it's made in Great Britain with what they describe as a super-soft formula.

On quantity and method. Hatchwells don't give a weight or size for this block, or an application method beyond "dry cleaning," on this card, so the exact technique — how much to use and how to work it through — isn't something we can confirm here.
Who it's for: owners between full baths, or grooming a dog that doesn't tolerate bathing well, and groomers hand-stripping a coat who want a chalk aid for the job.

Why we chose it
A dry-cleaning product fills a genuine gap between full baths, especially for a dog that struggles with being bathed at all. It's also aimed at groomers doing hand-stripping specifically, which is a more specific use case than most all-purpose grooming sprays bother with.
