Full description

Large dogs turn a daily serving into a substantial amount of food, making both the bag size and the feeding bands part of the buying decision.

Harringtons Large Breed Chicken is complete dry food in a 14KG bag for adult large-breed dogs. Chicken and meat meals are 26%, including 6.5% dried chicken, and the recipe contains 14% rice, 6% oats and 4% freshly prepared chicken. It also declares 0.25% glucosamine, 0.15% chondroitin sulphate and 0.1% FOS. The analysis gives 24% protein, 13% fat, 4% crude fibre and 8% crude ash. Feeding bands begin at a 30–40kg dog.

The published chart starts at 30KG. No serving is supplied here for a dog below that weight, which reinforces the large-breed positioning. Owners of a lighter dog would need feeding guidance for a different product rather than extending these bands downwards.

Who it's for: adult large-breed dogs of 30KG or more whose owners want a complete chicken dry food with large-dog feeding bands and declared glucosamine and chondroitin amounts.

Harringtons Dog Large Breed Chicken

Why we chose it

The feeding guide begins at 30KG, so this has a clearer large-breed purpose than a standard adult bag with a larger label. Publishing both 0.25% glucosamine and 0.15% chondroitin also makes comparison straightforward.
