Size guide & how to measure

Manufacturer's own "Size Reference" chart. They warn that different breeds have different body shapes and hair volumes, so weight suggestions are for reference only and sizes cannot be picked from other brands' clothing sizes.

How to measure

Bust: measure right round the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
Use the weight reference only as a cross-check.

Full description

Warm-weather pet clothing has one honest purpose, and it is that it looks lovely in photographs. What you are buying here is a ribbed vest dress in white with a cherry print, a red ruffle running round the hem and a small knitted cherry sitting on the front, cut for cats and very small dogs. It is a summer outfit rather than a coat, and we would rather say so plainly than dress it up as something practical.

It is held on by adjustable shoulder straps instead of being pulled over the head, which matters more than it sounds. Most cats object strongly to anything passing over their face, and a strap you can slacken means one less struggle each time. The ribbed knit has natural stretch, so it moves with the body rather than pinning the shoulders, and the whole garment weighs very little, which is the main reason a cat will tolerate wearing it at all.
