A dog fed the same tray every night indefinitely will carry on eating it, but plenty of owners would rather not find out how long that patience actually lasts, which is the entire case for a mixed multipack over a single flavour bought in bulk.

This 12-pack combines two grain-free recipes: Chicken with Butternut Squash & Vegetables and Chicken with Liver, Sweet Potato & Vegetables. The Butternut Squash recipe is 75% chicken, with butternut squash, carrots and peas each at a few percent, plus linseed oil, dried seaweed and a small blend of herbs. Both recipes analyse identically at 11% protein, 8% fat, 0.7% fibre and 3% ash, at 70% moisture.

• 12-pack, two grain-free chicken recipes
• Chicken with Butternut Squash & Vegetables: chicken 75%
• Chicken with Liver, Sweet Potato & Vegetables
• Protein 11%, fat 8%, fibre 0.7%, ash 3% (both recipes)
• Glucosamine and chondroitin at 50mg/kg each
• Fridge after opening, use within 48 hours

On the second recipe. The full ingredients breakdown supplied to us covers the Butternut Squash recipe in detail; the Liver, Sweet Potato & Vegetables recipe's exact percentages weren't given beyond what's on the pack name. Both recipes share the same analysed protein, fat, fibre and ash figures.

Who it's for: owners who want to vary their dog's wet food without switching brands, or who like having chicken and chicken-with-liver on hand for a fussier eater.
