Weaning a puppy onto dry kibble usually means softening it somehow, and being told a food can simply be mixed with a little warm water is more useful in practice than a recipe that assumes every dog eating it already has adult teeth.

This is built the same way as Forthglade's other cold-pressed turkey recipe — 32.5% turkey (17.5% freshly prepared, 15% dried ground), dried sweet potato at 26%, and glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate added directly — but sold here in a 6kg bag rather than the larger size, and specifically noted as suitable from 2 months.

• Grain-free: turkey 32.5%, dried sweet potato 26%, no wheat or maize
• Crude protein 24.5%, crude fat 12%, crude fibre 3.3%, crude ash 6.3%
• Omega-6 1.9%, omega-3 0.45%, calcium 1.1%
• Can be mixed with a little warm water to soften for young pups
• Suitable for all dogs aged 2 months and over
• 6KG bag

One thing worth knowing. This is the same cold-pressed turkey recipe Forthglade sell in a larger 10kg bag — the composition and analysis are identical, so choose this 6kg size for a smaller dog or household rather than because the recipe itself differs.

Who it's for: owners of a young puppy being weaned onto dry food, or any dog needing a smaller bag size of this grain-free cold-pressed recipe than the larger bag offers.
