Extruding kibble at high temperature and pressure is the standard way to make dry dog food, and cold-pressing is the alternative that trades some of that convenience for lower heat, on the theory that fewer of the original nutrients get cooked out along the way.

Forthglade's Cold Pressed Salmon is built on salmon at 29.5% (split between 16% freshly prepared and 13.5% dried ground), with dried sweet potato also at 29.5%, dried peas, gelatine, dried beet pulp, dried fruit and added glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate. It's grain-free and analyses at 26.5% protein, 8% fat, 3.5% fibre and 6% ash, with omega-6 at 1.2% and omega-3 at 1.1%.
