Full description
A retractable lead sized for a big dog is often just wrong for a small one, because the tension and reel are built around a different weight range entirely - too stiff a brake and a small dog barely gets the tape moving. flexi's Small size exists specifically to get that balance right at the lighter end.
This is flexi's New Comfort tape lead in the Small size, giving 5 metres of tape for dogs up to a maximum of 15kg. It has a comfortable braking system and a soft grip handle, along with a chromed snap hook, and can be customised later with flexi's own LED Lighting System or Multi Box accessories. This page covers all four available colours - black, blue, red and rose - all built to the same specification.
- 5 metre tape lead
- For dogs up to 15kg maximum
- Comfortable braking system
- Soft grip handle
- Chromed snap hook
- Available in black, blue, red or rose
- Lead itself weighs approximately 220g
On the weight figures. flexi's approximately 220g figure is for the lead alone, not what arrives at your door - the parcel will weigh a little more once packaging is included, so don't be surprised if the delivered item feels heavier than the quoted product weight.
Who it's for: owners of smaller dogs, up to 15kg, who want a tape lead sized properly for a lighter dog rather than a scaled-down version of a lead built for something bigger.

Why we chose it
Getting the brake tension right for a small dog is a real engineering difference, not just a smaller reel on the same mechanism, which is why the Small specifically earns a place here rather than just stocking one size. Four colours on one listing also means there's a genuine choice rather than one default.
